Jubilant crowds lined up the streets of Lasanod for the Third day in a row as they awaited to welcome the last of 13 Traditional Elders to arrive in the capital city of Sool, Garaad Mohamed Garaad Abshir and his entourage of security and khatumo volunteers departed neighboring Garowe city early this morning. on their way to Lasanod as they crossed the town of Tukoraq, they witnessed the first taste of the blue freedom movement currently underway in North East of Somalia. the locals there lowered the SL flag and placed their Khatumo flag commemorating a changing of the guard in this strategic town that was invaded by the Somaliland Militia a couple of years ago.
Garaad Mohamed G. Abshir emphasized the need to be united against the enemies of SSC; he praised the residents of Tukaraq for their passion to regain their city; Over the coming few days, along with the 33 member Council on the Sovereignty of SSC regions, the Garaad is expected to join 13 other Khatumo Supreme Traditional Council members who are expected to convene the much anticipated Consultative conference to be held in Lasanod. On the menu is the fate of socio political direction of all the people of SSC.
