Monday Feb 6th, 2023, At 6:00 AM Local Somalia time, reports from Lasanod indicate that SL militia has begun violent war against the people of lasanod; images of live bullets streamed via online platforms seemed to be going now. This seems like a clear plan by Somaliland Militia to disrupt the peaceful Traditional elders of the city who were expected to produce their pro Unionist Communique on Self determination [LASANOD DECLARATION (1)]. Locals were seen early this morning; barely awake as the sound of heavy artillery seemed surreal. Due to lasanod’s enclosed mountainous typography, Somaliland militia’s violent urban warfare and aggression will likely cause large casualties. It is too early to confirm the damage caused by Somaliland’s British trained RRU police units involved in the war against natives in Lasanod. So far, this morning as of 7:30 AM local time, reports indicate that one person has been killed in Lasanod and 20 other injured.

8:00 AM local Somalia Time: Heavy gunfire continues to be fired from behind the Mountains. Over the past few days, the people of lasanod were awaiting the results of the long awaited talks by the 14 Traditional leaders, the 33 member consultative council tasked with deliberating the socio-political direction of the people of Sool, Sanaag, Cayn_ SSC.

I am writing to bring to your attention a serious situation that has developed in the region of Lasanod in Somalia. This morning, the secessionist group known as Somaliland launched an attack on the city and its civilians. The attack was made in response to stop a press conference and announcement from the traditional leaders and a 33-member committee, who were deciding on the future of the people of SSC.

It is important to note that the people of Lasanod have never been part of secessionist Somaliland and should not be forced to join against their will. They have their own human rights and it is time for the international community to take a stand and voice their concerns. The decision of the people of Lasanod should be respected, and any actions taken by the Muse Bihi regime and his followers in Lasanod should be met with consequences.

Unfortunately, the situation in Lasanod has been escalating over the past few weeks, with reports of human rights violations and innocent civilians being killed. It is imperative that the international community takes a stand against this violence and holds the Muse Bihi regime accountable for their actions.

In conclusion, I urge the international community to take swift action in response to the ongoing violence in Lasanod. The people of Lasanod deserve to have their voices heard and their human rights respected. It is time for the international community to stand up for justice and peace in Somalia.
